One major thing to bear in mind during a website implementation is to make finding things quick and fast. ContentForces offers customizable search tools that provide clients with the desired flexibility.
The ContentForces' Product Selector is an easy-to-use selection component which helps the website visitor in finding the product or service that fits his/her needs best. By selecting a desired set of features of a product (the customer selects the product type and other properties) and clicking the 'Search', 'Show' or 'Select' button your website visitor is likely to find exactly what he or she is looking for. Such an enhancement made to the website provides your website visitors more options and, consequently, results in increased customer satisfaction.

Website visitor perspective

The website visitor is looking for a product or service with some specific features with a selected Product Group (in case there is only one Product Group no selection is necessary).
The website visitor starts to use the Selector by choosing the values (answers) from the defined fields in the Product Selector. Each time, the website visitor makes a selection in one of the fields, the number of matching products is shown.
Below the Selector's fields there is a counter which indicate the number of matching products.
Once the selection is completed (there is no need to select all search options), the website visitor clicks on 'Search', 'Show' or 'Select' button and a list of matching products appears. From this list, the website visitor can pick out a product that he/she would like to review and see its details in the Product Detail page, by clicking on it.

Website manager perspective

At the beginning of the implementation process, the website manager can create the Selector form by naming the selection fields and defining the way of working (also define answers consistent with product information e.g field name: gender, answers: man/woman).
The results of selection are generated in the form of overviews of products and lead to the adequate Product Detail (results sorted automatically).
Optionally, if the number of matching products equals one, the product detail pages can be displayed instead of the list of Selector results (setup by CF on demand).
Selector operates within one Product group (i.e. One Product Group can have one Product Selector).
In the implementation process a selection of the type of 'Search', 'Show' or 'Select' button has to be made: whether it can be pressed with all questions answered or if it can be pressed with less than all questions answered.
At the beginning of the implementation process there is a choice of question display types for the Product Advisor that offers the following features:

The answers for Product Selector's questions narrow the options for further questions (optional).
The answers for questions may be sorted manually - other than the default alphabetical one – if e.g. you want to have a certain answer first on the list (optional).
