General introduction

With ContentForces Login component your website visitor can sign up to your system in order to obtain the access to some or all of your web pages, and then log out when the access is not needed. It is the integral part of the security procedures. The website visitor has to enter some credentials, such as the user ID and the password to successfully log in.

Website visitor perspective

At the beginning, the website visitor who does not have the account yet, can click on the appropriate link to create the account with the registration form. This form consists of fields which must or can be filled in by the website visitor. Then, he clicks on the 'Send' button. The validation goes to the Content and Campaign Management System and if everything is correct, a 'Thank you' page is displayed.
Contact is created but it is not active. The website visitor receives an email to his e-mail box with a link which needs to be clicked in order to activate the account.
After clicking on the link, another 'Thank you' page with a link to the Login page is displayed (this is optional in case of the intranet).
The website visitor who already has an account can use the Login form which consists of input fields for a user ID and a password. There is also, a corresponding submit button ('OK' or 'Log in' button) to log into the system.
Importantly, the customers who have forgot their passwords can click on the 'Forgot password' link that enables restoring of the data.
After clicking on this link, the website visitor gets a form to enter his e-mail address.
The validation is sent and if everything is correct, the website visitor receives an e-mail with a link to set up the new password.
After the successful signing up, the website visitor gets the access to the submitted login data - one may modify it by clicking on the 'Edit my data' link.
Every time the validation fails, the website visitor gets appropriate error message.

Features

Login with 'Remember Me' link - helps the website visitor by remembering the user ID and password entries and auto-populating the input fields in future login interactions.
